IT PROJECT COORDINATOR – WORKDAY STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION

Reporting to the director of consulting and solutions in the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS), the IT Project Coordinator will assist with the implementation of the Workday Student Information System. The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of the project by coordinating and organizing meetings, managing time effectively, maintaining professional interactions with stakeholders, following up with vendors, practicing good followership, and providing outstanding verbal and written communication. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for organizing and communicating assignment details, performing routine tasks, and serving as a key interface between function team members, vendors, and project managers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has frequent and direct contact with ITS peers and colleagues, administrative and academic personnel, and third parties such as vendor and consulting contacts.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
General open office and campus environment. Position involves sitting, although frequent movement is necessary. Computer usage involving repetitive hand/wrist motion is also necessary. Some work outside of normal business hours may be required based on departmental needs.

Successful and satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check).

- Manage time effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
- Maintain professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, team members, and project managers.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Practice good followership by providing support to project managers and team members as needed.
- Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills in all interactions.
- Familiarize oneself with project management methodologies and contribute to project planning and execution activities.
- Organize and communicate assignment details to team members and vendors to ensure smooth coordination and execution.
- Perform routine tasks such as data entry, documentation, and reporting.
- Serve as a key interface between functional team members, vendors, and project managers, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in relevant field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to follow up with vendors and maintain positive relationships.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
