Ready Mix Driver
Job Description:
Boxley Ready Mix is looking for drivers responsible for the delivery of concrete and other associated products to the designated address in an efficient and safe manner. Must follow all Federal, State and Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Ability to be flexible due to nature of last minute schedule and start time changes. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday with the possibility of Saturday work on rare occasions. Overtime is required if workload is demanding
- Must be able to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety
- Must always maintain courteous and professional manner with co-workers as well as customers
- Must have physical ability to operate equipment and transport material in extreme temperatures and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8-12 hours
- Must adhere to OSHA safety standards and regulations
- Must be able to check truck for maintenance concerns and report deficiencies promptly
- Ability to adhere to company personal property equipment (PPE) policies
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must pass drug test and criminal background check
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must possess Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class B with no restrictions
- Current DOT Medical Card
