Emerging Journalist (Production Assistant)
Blue Ridge PBS, serving Southwest, VA, has an immediate opening of a Production Assistant in our Emerging Journalist program. The ideal candidate will join this 4-5 year teaching program that allows interested journalists to learn how to shoot, edit, produce, direct, and/or host public media segments for on air and on-line distribution. Benchmark advancement throughout the course is expected.
Excellent writing and communication skills required. The program is open to recent high school or college graduates demonstrating exceptional talent.
Local and some regional travel required. EOE. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
