Therapist, Veteran Services
Do you have a Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work?
Are you interested in providing services to Service Members, Veterans, and Families (SMVF)? These services include individual and group counseling to address issues such as substance use, mental health disorders, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The Therapist provides assessments, treatment planning, referrals, and evidence-based trauma therapies. They may provide educational presentations within the agency or throughout the community to help increase knowledge of SMVF culture, resources, and best practices.
The schedule for this position is primarily day shift. No weekends!
Requirements:
1. Master's degree in a human services field that fulfills the criteria for eligibility for professional licensure as a professional counselor or clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. LPC or LCSW is a plus!
2. Experience working with Service Members, Veterans, and Families is a plus!
3. Good Driving Record: Candidates must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a safe driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years).
