BRBH is seeking a Substance Abuse Therapist in Alpha Jail Services to provide substance abuse services to men participating in the Alpha residential programs located at the Roanoke County Jail.
Therapists perform individual and group counseling, treatment planning, outpatient counseling, evaluation and assessment, case management, crisis intervention, behavior modification and records documentation. Services are mainly provided in the jail.
Pay for this position is $40,000/annually for Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work. Pay is $54,000 for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Degree: This position requires a Master's degree in a human services field that fulfills the criteria for eligibility for professional licensure as a professional counselor or clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. LPC or LCSW preferred.
2. Preferred Knowledge: A working knowledge of the criminal justice system is a plus.
3. Background Checks: Candidates must be able to pass background checks including those required by the local jails.
4. Good driving record: Candidates must have a good driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years (including DUI) and are required to undergo a fingerprint background check.
