Scheduling Supervisor
The Scheduling Supervisor leads the team of Schedulers in providing excellent internal and external customer service while scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling a high volume of client appointments for multiple agency locations. The Schedulers respond to requests for behavioral health appointments in person or by phone, email, or electronic messaging. The schedule for this position is 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with one hour lunch, Monday - Friday.
The Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling process, scheduling appointments, resolving issues, communicating status of appointments by providing reports to staff, reviewing reports to ensure thorough data entry, coaching and mentoring staff, scheduling staff, and ensuring staff coverage.
What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, flexible, and have strong customer service skills. The successful candidate will enjoy assisting individuals who may have mental illness or developmental disabilities and be able to lead others to work well under pressure.
Minimum Requirements
- One year customer service experience working with diverse client populations, including individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, serious mental illness, and/or substance abuse.
- One year experience working in a healthcare setting with scheduling functions and an understanding of HIPAA (client confidentiality).
- One year supervisory experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
