The Program Administrative Assistant supports the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) multidisciplinary team. They are responsible for organizing, coordinating and monitoring all nonclinical operations of ACT under the direction of the program coordinator, providing receptionist activities including triaging calls, coordinating communication between team and clients, de-escalating situations with clients who have increases of symptomatology, assisting clients, their families and agencies to get answers to questions; maintaining accounting and budgeting records for client and program expenditures; and operating and coordinating the management information systems.

Our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is individualized community-based treatment, rehabilitation, and supports designed to meet the needs of adults with serious mental illness who often require 24 hour service availability to avoid hospitalization. Complete wrap-around services include intensive case management, psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, medication prescription, administration and monitoring, Substance Abuse services, counseling, vocational counseling, and life skills training. Pay Range: $12.14-18.21/hour

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: One year of previous of general office experience, an understanding of mental health disorders and/or prior work in the medical or mental health field, as well as previous success working in a team environment. 
  • Safe Driving Record: Candidates must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a safe driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years).
  • Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to undergo a background check and drug screen.
