Nursery Worker
Project LINK is now hiring for 2 nursery workers to monitor clients' children, while they are receiving treatment!
Nursery Workers are responsible for the well-being of the children under their care and they must monitor the children to ensure that they play and interact with one another in a safe and appropriate manner.
Other responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
- Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day
- Preparing meals and snacks for the kids
- Organizing activities and developing curriculum for children
- Keeping records of each child's progress, interests and any problems that may occur
- Maintaining contact with the children's mother and contacting them in the case of an emergency
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 8:30 am-4:30pm (Wednesday till 7:30pm) - under 40 hours.
Pay Range: $11.48-$16.70/hour
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of child care experience.
- Licensure/Certifications: CPR/First Aid. Required 10 hour training course for child care professionals through the Virginia Department of Education prior to working with children (to be completed during first two weeks of new employee orientation).
- Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to undergo a background check and drug screen.
