Mobile Crisis Therapist
The schedule for this position is 9 AM - 6 PM, Mon - Fri.
Are you a Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work interested in providing short-term intervention for children and adolescents in crisis?The Mobile Crisis Therapist provides short-term crisis counseling, crisis stabilization, and crisis intervention to families in the community. They provide assessments and verbal de-escalation for children experiencing psychiatric crisis and at risk of hospitalization or demonstrating behaviors that are placing them at risk of harm to themselves or others. They primarily provide services directly with the child or adolescent, but may also include family members. Services are provided in the home, office, and community. They also provide:
- Treatment planning
- Discharge planning
- Referrals
- Documenting services
- Coordinating services.
Requirements:
1. Education: Master's degree that meets requirements to register as a Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work.
2. One year of clinical experience is a plus! Experience preferred working with children and adolescents who may be at risk of mental illness, developmental disabilities, experiencing substance use, or Co-Occurring Disorders; and their families. Knowledge of crisis intervention models and resources is preferred.
3. Safe Driving Record: No more than two moving violations in the last three years, no criminal driving violations in the last five years.
