Medical Provider (NP, PA, DO, MD) - Part Time
Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare: Community Mental Health Center is located in Roanoke, VA.
We are seeking a NP, PA, DO, or MD to conduct Physical Examinations focused on overall physical health as well as on acute intoxication, and psychiatric or withdrawal signs and symptoms. The physical examination should include obtaining medical history, assessing mental status, interpreting lab work, and prescribing medications.
Scheduling: Able to set hours, ideally will work 2-4 set hours each weekend. This position will require on call every other weekend.
About CSU: Our Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 16 bed unit offering short term residential stabilization services to individuals with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders. This service also offers medically supervised detoxification from alcohol and other drugs. Those needing both detoxification and support for symptoms of mental illness are served. Services are provided in a recovery-oriented environment, and include skills training, psychiatric care, 12-step recovery groups on-site, and discharge planning to assure continuity of care in transitioning to outpatient services.
